About Nottingham Gauge & Thermometer Company
We were established in 1974, under the name of Instrument Callibrations, for the purpose of repairing mechanical gauges and thermometers.
By 1978 repair work had increased to the extent that it was necessary for the company to move to new premises.
An extension to the factory in 1986 enabled the company to begin manufacturing gauges to customers' specific requirements and extend its calibration facilities, as well as continuing its repair operations.
In November 1990 the company moved to a new purpose built factory enabling it to increase its manufacturing capacity further.
The company has always been committed to product quality and decided in January 1991 to apply a formal quality system based on BS5750: part 2.
Nottingham Gauge & Thermometer Company was formed in May 1997 when Instrument Calibrations bought the assets of Reno gauge Company Ltd. and decided to change the company name to reflect the changes made in the company's operation.
In 2001 new CNC turning machinery was purchased to decrease product lead times and enable higher productivity in an ever increasingly competitive market.
In December 2005 the company acquired new premises to accommodate a new CNC machining centre, in-house dial design and print and new test equipment.
A large percentage of the business is bespoke manufacture to customer requirements including computerised special dials, markings with logo in any colour including "one-offs".
We have been supplying the re-sale trade for over 25 years and have a reputation for quality, price and delivery that is second to none.
We continue to offer an unprecedented service in the re-certification and repair of gauges and thermometers and the supply of ancillary equipment to complement our manufacturing business.
